You know those shows on tv where hackers break into all kinds of very secure files and sites of both bad guys and good guys?
For some characters it's harder than for others but in real life, that happens too. Of course, it makes sense if sites have sensitive materials or lots of financial transactions.
But hackers also set up programs that automatically search for websites that can be broken into too.
The more that can be hacked, the greater the chances of getting something rewarding--for them.
So, unless you are willing to gamble your computer skills against hackers and full-time automation, get somebody who can protect and monitor your site.
Full disclosure: it's happened to me not once or twice, but three times, so now I just put my money and bet on Renee.
